SETTING UP BITPACK

Installing BitPack for Android

Before installing the app on your device, you must have a BitPack account. Click here to sign up and create an account.


On your device, navigate to the Google Play store. Search “BitPack” and download the BitPack app. When the app is completely downloaded, tap to open it. If you’re currently using your device, tap the button below to navigate to BitPack’s download page.

Login to BitPack on Android

Follow the steps below to login and to start using BitPack:

  1. Type “https://account.bitpack.com”
  2. Enter your account name
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click “Save”

Configure BitPack on Android

Step 1:

Navigate to the folder you want available when you are offline.

Step 2:

Open the options menu. 

From the Folder Listing Menu:

To the right of the folder name, tap the menu icon.

Step 3:

Enable the offline availability.

Step 4:

Choose a Sync direction.

One-way sync:

Any changes made to your local files will be ignored. When syncing, your local files will be overwritten with updated files from the server.

Two-way sync:

Any changes made to your local files will be ignored. When syncing, your local files will be overwritten with updated files from the server.


Once you have selected a sync type, the offline icon appears next to the synced folder.

How to backup photos & videos

Step 1:

Click in the upper left corner on the three lines to open the left sidebar.  Here you will see listed last Accounts and click that as well.  Now you should see your account listed like in the photo below.

Step 2:

Click in the upper right corner on the gear icon to get to the Settings like shown below.  Then you’ll click on the Server option to select your Account like shown below.

Download a file or folder

To download a file or folder, navigate to the folder where it is saved. From the folder listing menu to the right of the file name, tap the menu icon and then tap download.

After tapping download you can choose where your files will be saved. If you always want to have your downloaded files stored in the same place, you can set a default location.

Set a default download location

Navigate to the account selection screen. To open the settings, tap the settings icon and scroll down to the Downloads section. Then tap the Default Download Location, and select a preferred folder.

Manage files

Move, copy, and delete files

Navigate to the file you want to copy. In the top right menu, select the “Edit Folder” option. Select the file or folder and at the top right you can tap either the move, copy, or delete icons. If you are moving or copying files, navigate to your desired folder then tap paste or move.

Share file or folder

To share a specific file, open the navigator to the file you want to share. In the preview pane, tap the “Share” button then tap “Create Direct Link” or “Email.”

To share a specific folder, navigate to the folder you want to share and then tap the “Actions” menu and then select “Share.”
